Urban Symmetry è una serie digitale del fotografo ungherese Zsolt Glinka, che ha raccolto fotografie degli edifici storici collocati sulla riva del Danubio, restituendoli in immagini surreali.
Nessuno di questi edifici è fedele all’originale, si tratta solo della metà di ognuna di queste architetture specchiata a formarne una ex novo perfettamente simmetrica.
Svuotati digitalmente dallo sfondo e trasportati su un background piatto e omogeneo, la serie sembra ricordare il Grand Budapest Hotel di Wes Anderson.

After all, these fictitious buildings coming into existence perfectly grab and condense their original character into themselves, as if you could see human faces and different personalities on the building portraits.

“Casa Triana” is the result of a 60 square meter apartment renovation located in the historic neighborhood of Triana, Seville. The apartment has been designed for a single woman, providing her with as much living space as possible. The main concept of the project was to create a singular open space, but avoiding the idea of the “Loft” as to not make it feel too empty or characterless. A series of colored niches create distinct programatic areas that give the apartment it’s unique identity, using readily available roof ridges - “cumbreras” in spanish - to create their triangular wall texture. 32 0
