Axe Majeur nelle fotografie di Nancy Da Campo

Nancy Da Campo, che gestisce il blog di architettura, casa e interior design SpaceXplaces, presenta il suo progetto fotografico dedicato a Axe Majeur monumentale opera urbanistica che sorge a Cergy-Pontoise, un sobborgo a nord ovest di Parigi.

Creato dallo scultore israeliano Dani Karavan e dall’architetto spagnolo Ricardo Bofill è un vasto complesso la cui costruzione, iniziata nel 1980, è durata quasi trent’ anni. Ispirato ai grandi viali urbani si estende per più di tre chilometri e si apre su una straordinaria vista panoramica verso Parigi.

La promenade è composta da 12 stazioni tematiche che possono assumere diversi significati simbolici che alludono alle 12 tribù di Israele, ai 12 Apostoli, a 12 segni dello zodiaco o ai 12 mesi dell’anno.

Il punto di partenza di Axe Majeur è la Place des Colonnes Hubert-Renaud con la Tour Belvédère nel centro.

La piazza è circondata da due edifici residenziali neoclassici semi-circolari, uno stile architettonico riconoscibile che caratterizza molte delle realizzazioni dell’architetto catalano Ricardo Bofill.

Uscendo dalla piazza c’è l’Esplanade de Paris, una terrazza con vista panoramica su Parigi e La Défense, dove  si trovano 12 colonne in cemento bianco alte 12 metri.

Il vibrante ponte pedonale rosso, disegnato dall’artista Dani Karavan, porta dall’anfiteatro Gérard Philipe alla cosiddetta isola astronomica.
