Ikea porta l’utilizzo dell’energia solare a un nuovo livello

Ikea ha collaborato con Solarcentury per portare l’utilizzo dell’energia solare –di cui il colosso svedese si occupa già dal 2013–a un nuovo livello.

Con lo scopo di ridurre di oltre il 70% le bollette elettriche, Ikea metterà a disposizione degli utenti degli accumulatori fotovoltaici per conservare l’energia in eccesso prodotta dai pannelli solari e usarla quando necessario.

Parlando di costi, le batterie dovrebbero aggirarsi intorno alle 3000 sterline che, aggiunte al costo dei pannelli, potrebbero raggiungere le circa 6300 sterline –cifra che può variare fino a 10mila per installazioni più grandi, ma che a lungo termine possono abbattere la gran parte dei consumi ripagando ampiamente l’investimento.

Attualmente gli accumulatori sono disponibili solo nel Regno Unito, dove le case solari usano in media solo il 40% dell’energia prodotta dai pannelli.
