Not everyone is comfortable with words, some people are able to fully express themselves with music, others with images. For this reason, we have decided to start this new format: we give 5 inputs to some of the illustrators we like most and ask them to respond through drawings. Not something complex and elaborate, just sketches on paper, like when as children we give shape to our imagination.
Bea Barros is a self-taught illustrator and lettering artist from the Philippines whose colorful works play around fun typographies and whimsical illustrations with broken proportions. She is a former marketer who decided to pursue her love for arts by becoming a full-time artist. One of her goals as an artist is to encourage people through her meaningful typographies. She also likes to draw flat human characters with eccentric clothes because she’s inspired by creative people who are not afraid to express themselves, may it be through their fashion, music or any art form.
