Not everyone is comfortable with words, some people are able to fully express themselves with music, others with images. For this reason, we have decided to start this new format: we give 5 inputs to some of the illustrators we like most and ask them to respond through drawings. Not something complex and elaborate, just sketches on paper, like when as children we give shape to our imagination.
Elena is a freelance illustrator based in London. Born in Mexico where she grew up, she studied illustration at Falmouth University in Cornwall. She has worked with a number of clients with a heavy focus on interiors and editorial design. Her style of colourful image making explores the theme of spaces, by combining rigid formal shapes with figurative lines.
