Not everyone is comfortable with words, some people are able to fully express themselves with music, others with images. For this reason, we have decided to start this new format: we give 5 inputs to some of the illustrators we like most and ask them to respond through drawings. Not something complex and elaborate, just sketches on paper, like when as children we give shape to our imagination.
Holly Stapleton is an illustrator based in Toronto, Canada. She has a mixed media approach to illustration, combining painting with digital art. She works mainly in editorial, for clients such as the New York Times and The Washington Post. She likes to use minimalism to illustrate complex emotional themes in their simplest forms.
