Not everyone is comfortable with words, some people are able to fully express themselves with music, others with images. For this reason, we have decided to start this new format: we give 5 inputs to some of the illustrators we like most and ask them to respond through drawings. Not something complex and elaborate, just sketches on paper, like when as children we give shape to our imagination.
I’m Sofija, born, raised and based in Belgrade. 😊
I’ve been long into traditional painting, graduating from art high school (majoring as a conservator and restorer of cultural assets), but, when I started University majoring in graphic design, I completely switched to digital drawing.
My style is characterized by bright and bold colors, abstract elements, and visible free hand moves and I love experimenting with textures (the noise effect is a must in my work). I find inspiration in everyday situations and dilemmas as well from flora and fauna.
I used to work in advertising but since last year I’ve been a freelancer.
