Not everyone is comfortable with words, some people are able to fully express themselves with music, others with images. For this reason, we have decided to start this new format: we give 5 inputs to some of the illustrators we like most and ask them to respond through drawings. Not something complex and elaborate, just sketches on paper, like when as children we give shape to our imagination.
My name is Liz Levitin, and I’m a Toronto-based illustrator with a background in graphic design. My illustrations have evolved throughout the years, with the most recent switch from 2D to 3D. The ability to bring something abstract & dreamy into the real world is incredibly fun. I love being able to build a world purely based on my imagination. In my work, I often try to capture a sense of dreamy calmness through colours, organic shapes, and minimalism.
