Not everyone is comfortable with words, some people are able to fully express themselves with music, others with images. For this reason, we have decided to start this new format: we give 5 inputs to some of the illustrators we like most and ask them to respond through drawings. Not something complex and elaborate, just sketches on paper, like when as children we give shape to our imagination. This is Edera Bloch.
Edera Bloch is an illustrator and designer from Marburg, Germany. While studying communication design, she rediscovered her long forgotten passion for drawing and focused on digital illustration from then on.
She is highly inspired by her life as a mother and her own childhood, as well as personal challenges that life brings. She also loves to observe strange situations in daily life and to depict them in a sarcastic way.
Edera’s works are colorful, bold and playful. Her surrealistic characters show intense emotions like sensuality, sadness, sensitivity or confidence.
