They say that a picture is worth a thousand words.
Fotointervista is exactly what it sounds like: an interview to be answered with photographs to get to know photographers and their personal world.
Let’s start our photographic journey with Victoria Ugarte.

I was born in Rauch, a small town in Argentina. Later, I moved to Buenos Aires and studied Law with a cultural focus, thinking about how to support artists and independent spaces. I worked at the Ministry of Culture and, at the same time, I became involved in photography—first in workshops, then in courses.
I love analog photography, which for me is also intuitive and marked by chance. Photography transports me into a state of sensitivity: looking as if it were the first time I see something; venturing out, being willing to observe and create.
Today I live in Italy and I continue to explore photography as a way to pause and better observe what surrounds me.
