Not everyone is comfortable with words, some people are able to fully express themselves with music, others with images. For this reason, we have decided to start this new format: we give 5 inputs to some of the illustrators we like most and ask them to respond through drawings. Not something complex and elaborate, just sketches on paper, like when as children we give shape to our imagination.
Doriana Marasoiu is a trained architect with the heart of an illustrator. She is working as a freelancer, bringing together all her passions: imagining and creating homes through interior design projects, giving graphic shape and life to books and albums and drawing editorial illustrations and personal stories transformed into art prints.
The three major influences in her visual works are our inner world, Architecture, and nature. She uses bold colours to draw attention to the illustrated topics and visual poetry to make the viewer look beyond the appearance and think more deeply about the subject.
