– Versione italiana a pagina 2 –

Not everyone is comfortable with words; some people can fully express themselves through music, others through images. For this reason, we have decided to start this new type of format in which we give 5 prompts to some of the illustrators we like the most and ask them to respond through sketches. Not something complex and elaborate, but just rough sketches on paper, like when as children we give shape to our imagination. This is Wenjia Wang.

Wenjia Wang

Wenjia Wang is a New York based illustrator and visual artist whose work explores themes of beauty, tension, and emotional ambiguity through surreal imagery and atmospheric visual storytelling. Her illustrations often combine delicate textures, symbolic elements, and restrained emotional narratives that invite viewers into spaces that feel both alluring and quietly unsettling.

Her work has been recognized by the Society of Illustrators, Illustration West, American Illustration, 3X3 magazine, Communication Arts and has been featured by publications and organizations including It’s nice that, Creative Boom and Booooooom.
