Not everyone is comfortable with words; some people can fully express themselves through music, others through images. For this reason, we have decided to start this new type of format in which we give 5 prompts to some of the illustrators we like the most and ask them to respond through sketches. Not something complex and elaborate, but just rough sketches on paper, like when as children we give shape to our imagination. This is Manonina.

My name is Manonina, better known as Manon, and I am a Belgian illustrator currently based in Antwerp, my birthplace and hometown.
During my time in college, I developed a deep affection for Rotterdam, where I graduated from the Willem de Kooning Academy in 2019 as an illustrator.

I have an expressive approach in my work, I always seek to depict my subjective emotions and responses to the subject in matter.
This evolves into the use of vibrant colors and conceptual language, creating illustrations that portray an idealistic or melancholic realm.

My interests encompass psychological, cultural, and social matters, along with projects that contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive world.
I believe that introspection is crucial for building a more sustainable and efficient society. Within my reach, I aim to contribute to this vision through my creative hands.
