They say that a picture is worth a thousand words.
Fotointervista is exactly what it sounds like: an interview to be answered with photographs to get to know photographers and their personal world.

Let’s start our photographic journey with Megan Reilly.

Megan Reilly

Megan Reilly (Staten Island, 1998) is a New York based photographer, filmmaker, and visual artist. Her photo essay series, A Deal with God and The Places I am Putting Myself, both reflect themes of desire, despair, and searching. The work is not specifically a representation embedded in identity, but a consequence of how she has learned to see. Heartbreak and desire live in tension, and she uses photography as a means of obsessing over and exposing that tension.

Additionally, Megan has documented a NYC sapphic club night, Babehouse, has done work for Susan Meiselas’ Studio with Magnum Photos, Morgan Gwenwald, digitizing her lesbian erotic archive, The Center for Photography at Woodstock, Vitamin Water, Milesplit NY, The Cooper Union, and participated in the Eddie Adams Workshop XXXIX. Megan is currently working with Panavision’s New Filmmaker Grant and Blue Cat Films as a Director of Photography.
