– Versione italiana a pagina 2 –

With Diaphane, Corentin Schieb unveils his first photographic monograph: a limited edition of 100 copies bringing together ten years of 35mm color film photography. Conceived as a visual pause, the book gathers fragments of time suspended between presence and disappearance, where light becomes both memory and dream.

Across 100 pages, Schieb explores the fragile poetry of analog photography: imperfection, waiting, and the quiet intensity of fleeting encounters. His images, intimate, nostalgic, gently melancholic, dissolve the boundary between documentation and reverie, transforming reality into impression.

Born in Nantes in 1992, Schieb is a photographer and film director whose work moves between portraiture, fashion, music, and documentary. Since 2014, he has cultivated an intimate and contemplative visual language shaped by his devotion to film photography, a medium he embraces for its slowness, unpredictability, and emotional depth. At the heart of his practice lies a desire to capture what unfolds between the hours: the raw beauty of people, places, and passing moments.

Published alongside an exhibition in Nantes (March 7 / April 18, 2026), Diaphane marks the closing of a decade-long chapter, a contemplative archive of accumulated memories, an ode to what lingers softly between the hours.
