Textile art
, once relegated to the realms of craft and domesticity, has undergone a striking transformation in recent decades. Far from being mere decoration or functional objects, textiles now serve as a vibrant medium for contemporary artists to explore identity, culture, and materiality itself. From intricate weaving to experimental fiber installations, the boundaries of what textile art can express are constantly expanding, offering a tactile dialogue between tradition and innovation.

We’ve selected 10 visionaries who are pushing fibers, threads, and fabrics into bold new territories. Get ready to take a 360° journey through the world of textile art.

ITA
