Not everyone is comfortable with words; some people can fully express themselves through music, others through images. For this reason, we have decided to start this new type of format in which we give 5 prompts to some of the illustrators we like the most and ask them to respond through sketches. Not something complex and elaborate, but just rough sketches on paper, like when as children we give shape to our imagination. This is Sofia Daskalaki.

Sofia Daskalaki is an illustrator based in Greece, known for telling stories through color. Working across product, brand, and editorial illustration, she blends hand-painted gouache with digital clarity to create vibrant, confident, and uplifting imagery that reflects her bold, modern approach to visual storytelling. She draws inspiration from color, light, and the clean, graphic shapes of nature, transforming them into bold, uplifting worlds through her distinct sense of simplicity.
She creates work for beauty, food & drink, lifestyle, and travel worlds, where her color-led style brings a sense of confidence and optimism to each project. Her illustrations invite viewers into bright, refined worlds shaped by bold palettes and a modern, uplifting point of view.
